Abstract

The economic, demographic, and urbanistic variables are some of the factors that, with varying weights, explain the behavior of housing demand. Despite its significant impact on major economic indicators, this aspect has received relatively theoretical treatment until now. Our study will focus on the econometric modeling of the factors that elucidate the behavior of the housing demand function in the Principality of Asturias during the period from 1980 to 1997. Understanding these factors is essential, particularly for shaping effective economic politics.
