Almudena Palacios Ibáñez

Almudena Palacios Ibáñez was born in Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Cádiz). She holds a degree in Industrial Design and Product Development Engineering from the University of Cadiz, and a master's degree in the same discipline from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). There, he began his introduction to Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) technologies thanks to a collaboration grant from the Ministry of Education. During the academic year she worked with the Department of Graphic Engineering applying VR to the medical sector in collaboration with the Hospital la Fe in Valencia.

She has also worked as a 3D designer at Presentys (Málaga). Her main task was to design virtual environments in Unity for the creation of VR and MR applications, where she had the opportunity to learn more about the functioning of these technologies and the development of applications. Currently, she enjoys a University Teacher Training grant awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Universities. She is attached to the LabLeni group of the i3b institute at the UPV, focusing her efforts on the application of VR and MRI in product evaluation, the main topic of her PhD thesis.
