Ruben H. Jacob Dazarola

Industrial Designer from the University of Valparaiso, Chile, Ph.D. of Design and Manufacturing of Industrial Projects, Master CAD CAM CIM and Master of Design and development of new products from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain.

He has worked professionally as an Industrial Design consultant since 1997, in Chile, Argentina and Spain and has been teaching at the university since 2005. Since 2016 he has been working as a full time academic and researcher at the University of Chile, where in 2018 he was awarded the prize for the best teacher in the Design undergraduate program.

He is a researcher specialized in the relationship between industrial design, tangible products and materials with emotions and experiences, a subject on which he has numerous articles and book chapters published internationally, regularly developing research projects with competitive funds.

He works as a referee of articles and projects for scientific publications and national and international organizations.
