Magical Hymns to Daphne and Apollo Traces of an Apollonian Prophetic Tradition? (part II). Magic of light and theurgy in the PGM

Further following the study on Apollonian oracular magic and the critical edition of Preisendanz’s Magical Hymns, we present the analysis of hymns 13, 10 and 14, including a revision of the first part, due to important papyrological breakthroughs and new relevant editions of the texts. The study on photagogy comes to an end, along with a reflexion on the presence of theurgy in Greco-Egyptian magic.
