Abstract

Ferroptosis is an oxidative and iron-dependent programmed cell death that has been recently described. Despite the little time it has been being studied for, great findings on its regulation and pathophy- siological implications on both cancer and inflammatory processes have been made. These issues will be addressed in this article.
