Abstract

This paper analyses the methods used by humanists for teaching the Latin language during the Renaissance and their two main elements: the so called codex excerptorius and chrestomathiae. The project for innovative teaching entitled Sal Musarum ad iuuenes
studiosos collatus, which has been created and implemented at the University of Cádiz, is based upon them.
