Abstract

This note extends Michael Sandel’s argument about genetic enhancements to the realm of critical thinking in the context of artificial intelligence. The conclusion of this extension tells us, broadly speaking, that if critical thinking is linked to artificial intelligence literacy, and the latter depends on budgetary conditions, then critical thinking may contradict the promotion of democratic citizenship.
