In this paper are presented the results of a study on the management of school life in high schools with high and low levels of school effectiveness in the city of Aguascalientes, Mexico. For this article, a qualitative approach was carried out in which individual and group interviews with teachers and directors of 16 schools were analyzed, although a mixed sequential methodology was used in the broader investigation of which this report is part. It was found that there are similar practices in schools with high and low school effectiveness in the management of coexistence because they perceive it as something secondary to the educational labor and activities are carried out that only tangentially promote inclusion, equity, participation and conflict resolution, even so, in high- efficacy schools, more and better management practices included in the explored indicators were detected.
