Abstract

Taking a text by José Ortega y Gasset as the basis and having in mind contemporary theoreticians and designers, this article deals with issues such as the importance of technique for human beings and the orientation it should have in modern society, as well as the role and responsibility of design not only as an outcome, but in all the processes and services involved.
