Abstract

Sentieri Urbani transforms, without interfering with its function, a codified and global signal such as the 'Pedestrian Crossings'. Sentieri Urbani means in fact 're-designing' the pedestrian stripes, 'the zebra stripes', purely functional signals linked to legislation, which however guide and direct us in everyday urban traffic, on holiday when we are tourists or on business trips; a signal that becomes a means of communication with ornamental characteristics, thus taking on a deeper meaning and characterising the place, a true signature of the neighbourhood and the city.
