ABSTRACT
Whreas we believe, concerning our private life, that we have particular responsibilities towards people with whom we have special relations, we are awar, on the political level, to an "equalconcern", i. e. to the treatment of each citizen as equal. Thus it seems thath the determination of the individual behaviour is grounded on a conflict between "egoism" and "utilitarianism". But the theory of the rational behaviour, as A. Sen formulated it, is useful to demostrate how the of the good life. In fact, each one takes into account, in his choices and in his actions, values, to which he gives importance.
