ABSTRACT
This papers develops Nietzsche´s thesis that the art´s own essence is to be functin of life, being life its hihest expression. Art opens up new possibilities to life. Hence it has more value than truth, it is the metephysical activity of the world and ir is the expression of life´s superabundance. Thus, art is the justification both of life and of the existence.
