ABSTRACT
The article deals with an important an neglected aspect of the spanish philosopher María Zambrano, which is her relation with the orfico-pytagorean thinking. She defines herself as an orfico-pytagorean in some extent, because she adscribes great importance to the figure of Orphaeus, who made a trip to the hells, and she interprets it as something to be done in our own life in order to get out of that inferior state and to ascent to a better in the line of spirit.
