Hegel y los límites del hegelianismo analítico

Abstract

RESUMEN

Este trabajo se ocupa del interés por Hegel que ha surgido recientemente entre filósofos analíticos. Desde luego no es posible prever cómo resultará este interés analítico en Hegel, ni es posible predecir si es una simple tendencia pasajera en la evolución de la tradición típicamente analítica cuyos contornos se han vuelto cada vez más borrosos con el tiempo, o incluso si los filósofos analíticos mantendrán mucho tiempo su interés en un pensador que hasta hace poco era claramente impopular en los círculos analíticos. Tampoco es posible predecir si la discusión analítica de Hegel producirá una auténtica contrución a la investifación sobre Hegel, si conducirá las posiciones de Hegel más allá del punto que alcanzaron en sus propios escritos o si más bien se centrará en apropiarse de las ideas de Hegel para otros propósitos. Considero el acercamiento analítico a Hegel sobre el trasfondo del giro analítico hacia el pragmatismo americano y desarrollo la argumentación de que el compromiso analítico con una forma de conocimiento realista y no histórica es incompatible con el historicismo de Hegel.

ABSTRACT

This paper concerns the reently emerging interest of analytic philosophers in Hegel. It is of course not possible to see how the analytic interest in Hegel will eventually play out, not possible to predict if it is a mere fad in the evolution of the ditinctive analytic tradition whose contours have become increasingly blurred over time, or even if analytic prhilosophers will maintain their interst over time in a thinker who until recently was distincly unpopular in analytic circles. It is also not possible to predict if the analytic discussion of Hegel will make a genuine contrubution to Hegel scholarship, to carrying Hegel´s insights beyond the stage they attained in his own writings, or will rather focus on appropriating Hegel´s ideas for other purposes. I will considerer the analytic approach to Hegel against the background of the anlytic turn to American pragmatism. I will be arguing that the analytic commitment to a non-historical, realist form of knowledge is incompatible with Hegel´s historicism.
