ABSTRACT
The paper examines the affinities between Yung Yank-yong's practical Confucianism and the European Enlightement. The first one being the recognition of individuality. The second one, the constitution of the moral good as from the retrieval of the importance of natural desire in both trends. The affinities are underlined by considering the primacy of praxis and the indisputable importance of human relations for any ethical project.
