RESUMEN
El objeto de este artículo es mostrar cómo el diálogo y el ensayo filosóficos son dos "genera dicendi" que comparten la caracterísitica común de ubicar la verdad en el futuro del filosofar. Como consecuencia de esta primera característica la opinión y el error adquieren en ambos un valor cognitivo de primera magnitud, a la vez que la tolerancia se convierte en regla teórica y práctica de conducta entre los hombres.

ABSTRACT
The aim of this paper is to show that the philosophical dialogue and the essay are two genera dicendi which share the characteristic of placing the truth in the future of philosophising. As a result both opinion and error acquiere a cognitive value of the first order, and at the same time tolerance becomes the theoretical and practical rule of conduir among men.
