RESUMEN
La moda se refiere a aspectos externos de las personas y las cosas. Pertenece al mismo ámbito que la belleza, y en la medida en que opera también con la belleza juega, como ella, una función similar de conexión entre lo superficial y lo profundo. La moda, ciertamente, es el paradigma de lo insustancial. Sin embargo, la reflexión intelectual sobre la moda ya evoca desde tiempo atrás los nombres de Baudelaire, Kroeber, Ortega, Veblen, Simmel y Barthes, y desde hace pocos años los nombres de Baudrillard y Lipovetski. El artículo es, en suma, una reflexión sobre la dimensión estética de la moda.

ABSTRACT
Fashion concerns the external aspect of people and things. It belongs to the realm of beauty and establishes with it a relation analogous to the bind between the superficial and the depth. Fashion is indeed the paradigm of the insubstantial. However, authors like Baudelaire, Kroeber, Ortega, Veblen, Simmel and Barthes, and more recently, Baudrillard and Lipovetski have focus their attention on the issue of fashion. The paper is, in sum, a reflection on the aesthetical dimension of fashion.
