Abstract

The research entitled: “Representations and social practices around the Peacebuilding of Young Schoolchildren” was developed under Project Rumbos de Paz, which has been implemented since 2016 in the border context; the findings are part of the narratives of the students belonging to the Secondary Walk Program of the La Frontera School, of the Municipality of Villa de Rosario, specifically in the La Parada district; a scenario with high social vulnerability and demand for protection through the direct influence of the Colombian Internal Armed Conflict and the border crisis with the Venezuelan state. In tune, it was sought to recognize the worldviews and practices around the peace building of the young people focused by the Project oriented from the theoretical and methodological horizon of the Theory of Social Representations of Moscovici and the different contributions towards a Theory of Peace as well as from the Social Diagnosis of the Social Work Group Method; in such a way, a qualitative model is set up based on the survey of the Initial Baseline for the characterization of the social subjects from the statistics. In this way, peacebuilding is assumed from the negative, positive and neutral vision of the concept of peace, and also that peacebuilding is part of a collective action by all social and political actors. Collected, it becomes a fundamental input for the Training in installed capacities from and with young people integrating the visión of Social Work.
