The increase in life expectancy and population aging leads to an increase in the incidence and impact of this public health problem that has great health and social impact, and underlies the deontological imperative to intervene to improve well-being Social Work is a scientific discipline implemented in various social protection systems that adapt the methodology, which motivates specialization and professional coordination to ensure a holistic and comprehensive intervention that, in the health field, aims to improve health and quality of people’s lives.
This article includes a methodological proposal of Social Work in the health system, based on documentary research and daily practice carried out in various UGC of the SSPA that demonstrates the benefits of our intervention on the health and quality of life of patients and families.
