Abstract

Energy vulnerability represents one of the most critical emerging challenges for social services, directly affecting the health, well-being and dignity of people in situations of social exclusion or vulnerability. This article presents the systematization of the applied research of TecEnerGía 1.0, developed between July 2024 and April 2025 in collaboration with the Community Social Services and social entities of District 5 of Huelva. The proposal stands out for its participatory, inter-institutional and methodological innovation-oriented approach in Social Work. The research is structured in three phases: 1) Participatory diagnosis through two discussion groups with users (n=16); 2) Energy literacy workshop, given by a specialized cooperative (AeioLuz), with adapted materials; 3) Social transfer actions such as a collective return day and the elaboration of two videos: one on the project itself and the other with practical advice. The results indicate limited knowledge about energy efficiency and structural deficiencies in homes. The workshops increased skills to manage consumption and bills, promoting individual and community empowerment. In addition, the project strengthened institutional collaboration in the territory and provided practical tools for improving energy efficiency.
