Abstract

The forensic term is referring to professions and disciplines concerned with the justice field. The social workers have developed a Network of Support to the Court, giving advice to the Court in order to adapt the judicial resolution to the people which are addressed. Some disciplinary precedents in forensic reality must be taken into account in this study. Some professions, like medicine or psychology, are tightly linked to social work in the justice system. The social workers’ research in the USA and the professionals in The South Cone are used as a parameter.
The study of several professions in Spain´s forensic reality in Spain is the main contribution of this research. From this starting point some critiques are suggested, updates and trying encourage issues toward a higher scientific production in the social work field. Knowing in depth the specific situation the collective is found in nowadays will require later research.
