Abstract

Drawing on tools from the digital humanities, this text deals with the internal intellectual configuration of the Hispanic Empire in the eighteenth century. Through the study of the trajectory from New Spain to Spain in the work of the Jesuit Juan Antonio de Oviedo, it points out its polycentric dimension. The article also stresses the need for the intellectual history of the Hispanic Monarchy to be approached on an imperial scale, both comparative and, above all, connected.
