Abstract

The study of 18th century events feature Spain as the lead character of the global evolution, when the thirteen English colonies in North America requested its assistance in gaining their independence from England. Under the command of King Charles III, individuals with experience in military, commercial and financial matters, were responsible for carrying out the operations necessary to guarantee success. Bernardo de Gálvez played a key role, often forgotten, that changed the course of History.
