Abstract

The aim of this research was to carry out a systematic review on the analysis of the effects that surfing produces on the development of physical and social well-being in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). A systematic review of articles published on Web of Science, Scopus, Dialnet and ScienceDirect electronic databases and platforms has been carried out, following the principles established in the PRISMA declaration for conducting systematic reviews. 1391 documents were found, with only 21 primary documents, published between 2010 and 2020, in which surfing interventions were carried out, with a total population of 797 experimental subjects to be analyzed between the ages of 5 and 19 years. After the review, it has been shown that surfing can be used as content in inclusive physical education in children with ASD, improving their physical well-being and social skills.
