The aim of this research is to analyze the didactic potential in language and literature of the 41 episodes that comprise the five seasons of the successful serial Money Heist (La Casa de Papel). By studying the habits and consumption trends of Internet and television series, the characteristics common to the most important television series for young people will be identified. The characteristics associated with the potential use of TV series in the educational environment will be identified. The analysis identifies which elements of universal literature are present in the series, offering two backbones in the results: the intertextualities present in relation to the works of universal literature and the treatment of literary themes from the selection of selected fragments. The results identify an important volume of intertextual references that can be used as a pretext for the curricular treatment of textual typologies, the analysis of narrative elements, concomitant themes, as well as the relationship with classical or contemporary pieces.
