Abstract

The purpose of this article is to make an approximation of the historical background of judicial reforms promoted by transnational organizations in Colombia, the impacts generated by the globalization process and the reforms of Colombian legal education, also noting the position that the Colombian university has assumed to meet these demands. In addition, it raises two questions about its legal training. On the one hand, the model of jurists that are being formed in the Colombian classrooms and their repercussions on the development that as a society is aspired, in democratic, fair and equitable conditions and, on the other hand, the competence of legal professionals to face the needs of an increasingly complex world inserted into a liberal model.
