Abstract

This article presents a teaching experience conducted in the subject of Philosophy of Law with the main objective of raising the visibility of four women who were critical of the historical positivisations of human rights: Olimpia de Gouges, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Lucretia Mott and Mary Wollstonecraft. The experience was carried out during the confinement enforced by COVID-19 and used a methodology based on online teaching and exploiting the tools available in the subject's virtual classroom. The experience took as its starting point the theory about the historical positivisation of human rights and included several activities in which students worked on the authors and their works, considered their demands for male-female equality and became aware that the achievement of equality is still a challenge today. The article reports on the assessment system (both in the practical and theoretical components) and the results obtained in the opinion of the students. Finally, some conclusions are drawn from the material presented.
