Abstract

The article analyses the different types of learning processes and assessment in social studies and, in particular, in the field of Public Law. It then underlines that multiple-choice tests, which are used in many countries, ensure that assessment methods respect a series of conditions, i.e. those of objectivity, reliability, validity, and selectivity. It then moves on to describe an editorial initiative by a number of Italian Professors, who have authored Italian and Comparative Public Law test-books with the aim of not only providing an assessment instrument, but also to help student to self test their grounding.
