Abstract

In this book, profesor Tooze unravels, through a vibrant narrative of th events, the convulsive events associated to the global financial crisis, which began in 2008 in the U.S. and collapsed international finances worldwide for almost a decade. Entering into the always opaque environments of international finance, he sheds light on the mechanisms and risks of an international financial system that is tightly connected between the various institutions and countries on all continents. His analysis of the causes and Governments’ economic choices is rigorous and accurate. At the same time, it provides a number of considerations to the decisions taken with a clear impact on global citizens, the real protagonist of this whole situation.
