Abstract

This work analyzes the situation of the adult Spanish population with regard to monetary poverty and privation in their living conditions. Uniting this information we can identify and estimate the population in situation of consistent poverty. Once identified this group of population in evident risk of social exclusion, derived from their relative shortage of resources together with the material privation in their living conditions, we characterize it according to different socioeconomic variables. The statistical treatment of this information, across a logistic binomial model, allows identifying the elements that constitute factors of risk or protection opposite to the consistent poverty.
