Two keys to understand the novelty of Judaism and it's impact on the West

If we compare Judaism with other religions with which it has coexisted since its origins, we can appreciate some central similarities. These similarities, however, do not fully explain the novelty of Judaism and its influence on the construction of the West. In this article, I intend to show this novelty in light of two fundamental aspects of Judaism: on the one hand, the originality of its ethical monotheism; on the other, the intervention of God in the history of its people, where I will highlight various aspects that constitute a central part of this second aspect.
