Authorship

In accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), this journal recognizes as an author those who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the development of the study. Therefore, to obtain this status, it is mandatory to meet the following requirements:

1. Directly participate in the conceptualization, methodological design, data collection, or analysis and interpretation of the information that supports the manuscript.

2. Actively collaborate in the preliminary drafting of the manuscript or in its evaluation and critical revision.

3. Provide final approval of the final text to be published.

Any other contributions that do not simultaneously meet these three requirements should be included exclusively in the acknowledgments section. Furthermore, to prevent misattribution or fictitious authorship, the research team is requested to agree upon and validate the order of authorship and individual contributions before formally submitting the document.

Conflict of Interest.

According to COPE criteria, a “conflict of interest” is defined as any situation in which personal, academic, political, economic, or commercial interests could influence the peer review process and thus bias a publication proposal.

Therefore, Metafísica y Persona urges both authors and reviewers to inform the Editorial and/or Steering Committee of any potential conflict of interest related to the content, review, or approval of a submitted manuscript. The aforementioned committees must take the necessary steps to prevent any potential conflict of interest at any stage of the editorial process.
