According to Carlos Cardona, metaphysics is closely connected to other fields of knowledge and to life itself. The three pillars of Cardona’s metaphysic are actus essendi, participation, and, with respect to man’s peculiar condition, cogitativa, which links the spiritual and sensitive dimensions. The highest manifestation of the personal act of the human being is love, which is also the maximum expression of freedom.
