The Value of the Senses in Relation between Reason and Reality

This article attempts to demonstrate that the senses are the the primary approach necessary for knowledge. The utility of this approach can be documented with two examples. Firstly, from the writings of St. Agustine emerges the importance of the senses in relation to the Risen Lord, also easily applicable to the rest of the reality. Secondly, from the writings of Cartesio it results that he refuses the senses as the first moment of knowing; hence, the reason does not know the reality fully. The most significant results of this work are: of not forgetting the hidden treasure of the earth; of recognizing the unity of sensibility and of the interior disposition of a human person.
