Abstract

After some reflexions about the concept of mediation and its forms in early greek Religion, this paper develops the different forms of contact of man with divinity in the early, classic and hellenistic periods. The most important forms are the ones related to the new concept of “salvation” which arises in the mystery religions. In this religious media, both the theurge and the magician play a very important part.
