The publication in Spanish of the Correspondence of Nietzsche in six volumes opens up new prospects for the research of his work. This paper tries to justify the value and the importance of the letters in order to understand Nietzsche as a man and what there is «behind what is thought» in his work. Such a valuation is justified reflecting on the close relationship that occurs in this philosopher between thought and life, and the interpretive implications arising from this.
