Abstract

The Nobel Prize in Medicine was awarded in 2014 to John O'Keefe and Edvard and May-Britt Moser for their discoveries on the neuronal system indicating our position in space, hippocampal place cells and grid cells of entorhinal cortex. What are these cells and
why is this discovery so important?
