Abstract

The beginning of everything has always been a question which human has tried to find out an answer. Life is such a complex phenomenon that the probability of it happening by chance is extremely small; however, its emergence is almost inevitable. On the other hand, the evolution from the first cell, LUCA, to the great biodiversity of living beings that currently inhabit our planet, or that have ever inhabited it, is due to the alterations of the genetic material of the cells of individuals, whether unicellular or multicellular. In this work, the prevailing current ideas about the process that led to the appearance of life are exposed.
