Grupo Picasso de Málaga (1957-1964)

Abstract

Founding objectives of group of painters named «Grupo Picasso» were the same of the preceding «Peña Montmartre». First, to make known Contemporary Art in Málaga through expositions and public Jectures. Second, to support young artists who could find a way of development for their own plastic proposals. This article studies activities (polemic activities sometimes) of «Grupo Picasso» together with the thinking of their Jectures, who claimed a kind of art defined in accordance with social and religious contents.
