Abstract

This article revises the history of the construction of the palace Carpegna of Rome from his origins in the 16th century and Francesco Borromini’s intervention in the 17th century to extend the palace acquired by the family Carpegna, up to Gustavo Giovannoni’s restoration in the 30s of the 20th century to adapt it as new headquarters of San Lucas’s Academy of Rome.
