Silicicolous lichens from the western coastal mountains of the Algeciras region (Cádiz, Spain)

Abstract

Floristic results of research in the ranges of S of Cadiz province (Spain) are given. They are between 150 msm. (Sierra de la Plata) and 650 ms.m. (Sierra de Fates), for medby sandstones of the "Unidad del Aljibe". Because of their situation and altitude, all localities have a termic mediterranea climate. 130 species are cited, with description of critical, incompletely know or scarcely reported ones. Amongst them we can point out: Sphinctrina turbinata, Bacidia egenula, Lecidea deustata, Huilia musiva, Rhizocarpon oportense, Rh. tetrasporum, Haematomma ochroleucum, Teloschistes chrysophthalmus, Rinodina subglauces- cens var. lavicola, Pyrenopsis triptococca, Diploschistes euganeus and Enterographa hutchinsiae.
