DOI:

The use of new, more energy-efficient technologies, applied to the
urban lighting, it has been proven to be a very novel and highly
significance and interest today. In most cases, it has been addressed,
from a professional or business point of view, but much less often, from a
purely scientific point of view.
The presentation that we present is the result of research carried out in
three studies, which have been published, in three scientific and professional journals of
great relevance. Some of them with very high impact factor (Q1) and prestige
professional, scientific and technical. It is intended with this, to inform the
scientific community, professionals and technicians, the results and conclusions
obtained, in an absolutely objective way.
We are currently immersed in a dizzying situation, of changes
constant, in the field of street lighting in our cities. The results
here exposed contribute, to clarify in part, the difficult decision-making task, which is
municipal technicians, energy managers and professionals in general face.
The results of the investigations carried out, which are intended to be exposed with this
presentation, are the fruit of rigorous evaluation work and comparative studies that
we will summarize.
