Abstract

Spain with the aim of continuing to make progress in achieving the real and effective exercise of the constitutional principle of equality; and with the aim of deepening the principle of balanced presence or composition, - which Organic Law 3/2007, of 22 March, for the effective equality of women and men, states in its first additional provision, as ‘the presence of women and men in such a way that, in the group to which it refers, the persons of each sex do not exceed sixty percent and are not less than forty percent’ - Organic Law 2/2024 was passed, of 1 August, the new law introduces substantial changes to the legal system with a view to furthering the effective implementation of equality between women and men, essentially in the decision-making areas of political and economic life, which will be analysed by means of comparative tables in this article.
