Abstract

A mathematics club is an environment to contemplate mathematics from angles that are not usually present in school practice: the experimental, the aesthetic, the recreational and the cultural. Taxing the Mission that the Liceo la Colina has to train students with initiative and creativity from an early age with a personalized, bilingual teaching process that is academically demanding and aimed at developing skills; in an affective environment and with values, contributing to their personal, social and academic growth. The initiative arose to Propose a Mathematics Club with playful work spaces, in which the students of the Liceo la Colina have the opportunity of integration, interaction and development of cognitive processes around current mathematical challenges. The scope of this research contributes to awakening in the students of La Colina High School the taste for mathematics, since it constitutes a very valuable wealth within the daily and scientific knowledge in addition to interacting in a special space, creating and inventing logical thinking games, to exploit their mental potential and that they can apply it to their daily life from the context of the Institution.
