This paper deals with the first strike, the first documented strike in history, which took place in ancient Egypt, around 1155 BC, during the reign of Ramses III. The "Papyrus of the Strike" is preserved in the Egyptian Museum of Turin, on which an exhaustive analysis of both its physical characteristics and its contents is carried out. It is noteworthy that it is one of the most relevant documents in legal history, from the perspective of labor law.
