Josep Masabeu i Tierno, PhD in Pedagogy, has set up a cultural and educational centre called Braval in the neighborhood of El Raval in Barcelona, where immigrant children from different cultures, religions and languages learn coexistence, integration and social cohesion.

Josep Masabeu i Tierno is a recognized promoter of social initiatives related to immigration, education and social cohesion. He founded Braval in 1998 in the Raval neighborhood of Barcelona to support immigrant youth and promote integration through education, sports and cultural activities.
The project focuses on social cohesion, prevention of social exclusion and integration of immigrants into Catalan society. Braval organizes educational programs, language courses, sports activities and cultural initiatives to support immigrant youth.
The center has received support from public institutions, foundations and private entities, and has been recognized with several awards related to social integration and solidarity through sports and education.
Braval represents an example of social and solidarity economy and Catholic social policy applied to immigration and multicultural coexistence in urban environments.
